Hi friends! I helped campaign against the Korean Catholic Church. Mom says it’s important to respect people’s religious beliefs but this is something we cannot accept as a cultural “thing”. They believe that they are celebrating the bravery and struggles overcome of their Catholic ancestors by consuming dog meat. Mom secretly recorded an interview she had with a member of the church who told her she needed to understand a pet dog versus a meat dog and that we are different and therefore it’s ok. Mom tried to explain how wealthy South Korea is and that the tradition doesn’t apply anymore. They don’t want to change this but Auntie Madeline has started a petition and plans to really start soliciting other country’s Catholic Churches to get their support. If you’d like to sign, I’m including it as the first comment below. Thanks friends!
